WHAT IS SCÓR?
- It’s a GAA organised event.
- It is organised on an all Ireland basis.
- All clubs must firstly perform on a county basis and the winners progress to the Province finals. One group from each event then progresses to the All Ireland Finals.
- Scór is made up of a number of different events
- Traditional Music – group of up to five players.
- Individual singing. Must have Irish theme.
- Individual recitation. Must have Irish theme.
- Dance group.
- Ballad group. Irish theme.
- Novelty Act-a play performed by small group.
- Quiz group.
- It’s open to everyone….yes…. it is a competition but the emphasis is on enjoyment and fun.
- It’s a celebration of Irish Culture…it’s an enjoyable social night bring along your family/friends.
- The club must enter at least two of the above events.
The closing date for Scor Na nÓg entries is FRIDAY 16th OCTOBER 2009.
Could you please send the following asap to Gloria McLaughlin
- List of events you wish to enter - minimum two.
- Names of entries in English and Irish.
- Home address of all entries.
- £5 cheque made out to Antrim County Board.
